Background and Tech Philosophy

I've spent nearly five years as a technical writer and over 10 years as a creative writer and editor. I'm just as interested in ancient poetic forms as I am the capabilities of the next AI model.

I believe that the cyber age continues to offer the average person empowerment opportunities far beyond what we've seen before and should encourage and cultivate those opportunities for everyone. ​​​​​​​​​
But Not Everything Is About Work
I live in Wilmington, NC and try to be on, or near the water as much as possible. I prefer Summer, and outdoor activities like biking, hiking and general exploration. I'm also a relentless history buff, so these things often coincide (along with no small amount of Indiana Jones references).

Having never abandoned my inner child, I'm still a huge fan of X-Men and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and all RPGs come back to Final Fantasy in my mind. I've recently reignited my itch for trading cards as well. Gotta catch 'em all, you know?

Music has always been a deep passion for me and I love discovering new music as much as I do learning the intricacies of songs I've held dear for years.
​
Living in a place whose population and water coverage continues to accelerate, I try to stay involved in my community and have developed an interest in sustainable urban planning. Specifically in Garden Cities, Biophilic Design, and fiscally conservative green engineering.
